Quick and delicious broccoli sprout smoothie

Yesterday I had to use up some broccoli sprouts, so I decided to make a quick brococoli-sprout smoothie. It turned out delicious. Before that I spoke to a friend who said that recent studies have shown that broccoli sprouts can aid in detoxing the body and are filled with nutrition. Check out this article here for more info.

I bought these ones at a farmers’ market from a kind gentleman who provides the world with all kinds of sprouts. His eyes shine with a healthy glow – that to me is proof enough that sprouts are indeed a wondrous thing.

Here’s how I made it:

1/2 cup broccoli sprouts

1/2 an avacado (large)

3/4 cup of hemp milk + 1/4 cup of water

1 tablespoon chia seeds

Blend in a vitamix or blender, pour into a glass and enjoy! If it’s not sweet enough for you or too “natural” tasting, consider adding a few soaked dates or some honey.
